Summer All-day care program is available to students entering grades K-6 who can commit to a minimum of 3 days per week, 6 week minimum. Locations include: Creek Valley & Normandale for grades K-3 and Cornelia for grades 4-6. Summer program runs June 10-Aug 9.

7th-12th graders who participate in school sports are required to have a sports physical every three years. Schedule a Sports Physical with your Pediatrician or call for an appointment at upcoming Sports Physical clinic. You cannot tryout or play on team until your physical is complete.

TCO IS OFFERING FREE HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PHYSICALS 2024 dates TBA
Our Twin Cities metro area & western Wisconsin high school sports physicals are available at 12 locations throughout July and August. All exams are completed by primary care sports medicine physicians and orthopedic surgeons. Athletic Trainers will review each student athlete’s history prior to seeing the physicians. 5 :00- 8:00 PM appointments are required. Register HERE

Junior Volunteer Program applications are due Dec 31 of each year. Interviews occur around February with training starting in spring/summer.
Opportunities to help sort food and prepare if for distribution for families. (ages 9-11 with adult, 16+ independently). Complete the Youth Application. 3 hours shifts available Mon-Fri (8:15am; 11:15pm: 2:15pm)
Help unpack, tag and hang some great fashion finds! Volunteers are needed to help stock the store with all the best fashions, accessories and with the comforts of home.(Ages 13+ with adult)

2024 Summer Go Time – Funding is still available as of 3/13/24
The Summer Go Time scholarship is for Edina Public School students entering grades K-12 this fall to participate in their choice of camps/classes with Edina Community Ed. Registration for Summer 2024 begins on February 13@ 8am. Funding is limited and early registration is recommended. Some restrictions apply.
To apply:
- Review 2024 Summer Enrichment Financial Aid Information- Community Ed Español
- Complete the online 2023-24 Enrichment Financial Aid Application to determine eligibility.
- If you have already been approved this school year, you go directly to step 3.
- Complete your clamp requests using the Summer Go Time 2024 Form Forma De Registro 2024 [Please include all your camp selections on one registration per child. Funding is not held for later camps add-ons and would depend on if funding was still available at the time of your request]

Funding is provided by:
Provides scholarship grants for Edina Public School students to participate in academic, arts and athletic opportunities. Families must demonstrate need by being within 200% of poverty level for their family size. Students may request up to $500 for summer activities.
Note: Any funds used with Edina Community Ed [Summer Go Time 2024] will count towards a students funding max of $500 from Give and Go. Please complete the Summer Go Time Application to register for a Community Ed summer class.

Assists students in Edina to access various scholarships to participate in community activities including:

YMCA Day Camp Gathering Pines 2024 –Open Jan 8-11, 2024 CLOSED for 2024
Gathering Pines, is all-day camp program in Lakeville with various Camp Options in Summer 2024. Camp is open to students entering PreK-9th grade. A bus from Edina is available to take students to and from camp.
A special scholarship for current Edina Students in grades K-5 and grades 6-8 will be made available to participate in the Traditional Day program or Teen Specialty camp at YMCA Day Camp Gathering Pines. See application for details Applications will be accepted Jan 8- Jan 11 or until spots are filled, whichever comes first. A limited number of spots are available. Eligibility is based on 200% of Poverty income guidelines. If you are a Y-member and already on a YMCA scholarship, you are not eligible and should register for camp directly through the Y. Family Fee is $25.00 here is an option for a 3-day camp experience the week of July 1-3. The family fee for this camp is $15

Tips
- Apply early. Spots are extremely limited and available first-come. If you would like to provide your second choice backup you may.
- The family is asked to make a contribution towards the camp fee which is due with the application. You can provide a check, credit card or cash with your application.
- Be sure to have the registration form completely filled out, including 2 signatures on page 4 and attach a recent immunization record or write the information on page 3. Immunizations records can be accessed in your Campus Portal.

Minnesota Afterschool Advance (MAA)

MAA helps eligible families pay for academic based afterschool or summer programs as well as musical lessons and tutoring services that are taught by a “qualified instructor.” Please learn about the program on their website to find out if you are eligible and how it works with your MN K-12 Education Credit.
MN Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
CCAP provide financial assistance to help eligible families working, going to school or job searching cover child care expenses for children 13 years of age and under. Child Care must be with an approved provider.
Start by calling Hennepin County at 612-348-5937 to determine if you may be eligible. The county will work either send you an application, add you to the wait list or inform you why you are not eligible at this time. Applications are processed within 30 days. If you live in a different county, contact your county human service department.
Edina KIDS Club and Southdale YMCA accepts Child Care Assistance payments. KIDS Club will work with families who are on the waitlist and have a verified letter stating they are on the waitlist.

The Y offers need-based assistance to help individuals and families access the programs that are important to them. These scholarships are made possible by generous donors and partners who are committed to providing resources that increase access so more people can come together for the common good.

Needs-based scholarships are available by applying online PRIOR to registering for camp. If you are approved for a scholarship, they will review your requested camp week and get you registered. Summer Camps 2024: The first wave of scholarships is now closed. The application will reopen online on Monday, February 5.
